Oxford City Council has become the lastest to pass a motion to condemn the government’s hostile environment, and calling for an end to immigration detention.
Haringey becomes the ninth local council to pass a These Walls Must Fall motion, following Manchester, Liverpool, Cambridge, Brighton and Hove, Islington, Lambeth, Bristol and Lewisham.
“No human is illegal.” Lewisham Council unanimously votes to condemn immigration detention, and to endorse the These Walls Must Fall campaign.
Bristol councillors have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a These Walls Must Fall motion, calling for an end to immigration detention and committing the council to taking action for the campaign.

Last night Islington became the first London council to pass a These Walls Must Fall motion against immigration detention! The motion also covers the Home Office’s ‘hostile environment’ and the rights of European citizens in the borough post-Brexit.
